Before going any further I would like to tell you a little about myself, help us to get acquainted and share with you something about why I started in business on the internet.

My name is Graham Lee and as you can see from the picture below, I am most definitely not a young whizz kid … It was taken when I was about five years old , Noah was still a lad and the Internet was something unthought of in a galaxy far, far away.
He Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby
I was born in Romford, Essex in 1951 and lucky enough to grow up in a post World War II environment where I benefited from a secure and loving home, free school milk and a grammar school education. Dad was a manager at the Ford plant in Dagenham and Mum was a traditional ‘stay at home and look after the children’ housewife.I had an extended family with an older brother, grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins … pretty much a typical suburban London childhood for it’s time.

As I mentioned I was lucky enough to enjoy an old-fashioned grammar school education which was followed by three years of university, largely at the expense of the tax payer and my hard working and traditional father. Oh how things have changed!!
Dad was an engineer who had pulled himself up from a technical apprenticeship to senior white collar management and I am sure that for me in his minds eye, he imagined headlines in the local paper announcing:
“Graham Lee to be new Manager of local Building Society”
or even better:
“Town rejoices as Graham Lee revealed as Manager of the High Street Bank”
Poor old Dad … in some ways I expect I was a great disappointment to him because … I had different ideas.
